How To Build Your Own UFC Website Today
Hey! Today I wanted to share with you “how to build your own UFC website”
Why you may ask?
Well, a lot of you probably are die-hard UFC fans and often write about all of the fights on your Facebook page, you might go comment on UFC blogs and you may even have crazy arguments with people about certain fighters being better than others.
(don’t worry, it’s good to be passionate)
I’ve been building up a UFC blog and figured it would be good to have some other people building up cool informative blogs as well.
Just to be up-front, ideally if I teach you how to create your own UFC blog, there’s a chance that you would be willing to write a few guest articles for mine as a way of saying “thanks” to me.
Think that’s fair? I teach you how to start your own site and you and I could possibly work together?
Alright, so let’s get started…
The first thing you want to do is come up with a name for your website and make sure it’s available to purchase.
Step 1) Buy a domain name
I usually buy my domain names from GoDaddy, because well, I always have and it’s super easy.
Step 2) Set up a hosting account with Bluehost
What is a hosting account? Well, once you have a domain, you need to have somewhere to make sure it stays online all the time. It’s basically like keeping your computer turned on and logged in 24/7 (not a good idea)
Bluehost is a complete hosting solutions only $3.45/month. It’ll keep your blog/website online so you don’t have to worry about it.
Step 3) Sync up bluehost and godaddy
Step 4) Use the One-click wordpress install
Step 5) Find a Theme You Like and Install It
We recommend using Elegant Themes because they have a large choice of done-for-you themes so that you can just install the theme and have a really good looking site done without learning any coding or techy-stuff.
After you get your theme installed, your website is complete! There are a lot of tutorials from Elegant Themes that you can watch that show exactly how to change things on your site.
It’s all super easy, can change colors, pictures, etc in no time at all.
Step 6) Start blogging
Now, all you have to do is to start writing all about UFC news, MMA News and all things fighting.
Now this is just a very simple step-by-step system to creating a UFC blog. Once you get your site set up and running, you can message me here on Medium.com and we can chat about possibly working together within the niche.
If you have any questions let me know below and I can come back and edit this post to share more details!
